(^. _ .^) Meow~
Kitty Academy is a TERA guild located on the Tempest Reach Server. Our goal is to provide a sense of belonging or fellowship with our members by assisting new and experienced members through the game. We will work together and strive to overcome the challenges we'll face in TERA as we move towards our own endeavors.
Whats the point of joining a guild or Kitty Academy?
-
You get this (^. _ .^) as your title!
-
Guilds can provide a home or a sense of community.
-
Experienced players can provide advice on various classes.
-
Help finish dungeon story quests.
-
Endgame dungeons have difficult mechanics and random party members do not always have the patience or time to go over them thoroughly. Your death in a dungeon is a liability and thus, may result in kicks or rude remarks. Being in a guild, well, atleast our guild, will allow you to feel comfortable running endgame dungeons for the first time. Hosting training runs are a priority of ours as we believe that's a key aspect to growing a strong guild.
-
New to tanking? We can let you tank the bosses and practicing blocking while we keep you alive.
-
Need practice healing? We can have a second healer show you the ropes.
-
-
In other words, if you're having trouble, we'll find a way to help you get through it.
Do you focus on PVE or PVP content?
-
We primarily focus on PVE content for our guild also participates in Challenger Crusasde, which is a guild ranking system for pve. We don't actively push our members to clear dungeons in order to become the highest ranking guild, but it's nice to see how far we get from playing casually. That being said, we do participate in some pvp content such as Battleground Corsair Stronghold (20vs20) and well as hosting intramural deathmatches.
Do you recruit lower levels?
-
Definitely! We all started the game as little nooblets before so we understand what it's like to start off in a game with so many unanswered questions. The guild is here to help you make the game more enjoyable so don't hesitate to ask if you ever have any questions!
Does your guild have a Skycastle?
-
No, not as of this moment. Castles are obtain through the Crusade, which require time, effort and skill. Only a handful of members are capable of accomplishing this task and if you'd like to participate we welcome you. It will be difficult, but if you're up for the task we'd happily take you along on our speed runs. However, this guild doesn't focus their attention on the Crusade since it isn't our main goal. Our goal is to have fun and socialize. However in the past, it was just fortunate that our endeavor to create a family within our guild allowed us to also obtain a castle for a few seasons.
What are Skycastles?
-
They're simply giant castles that float in the sky all over the world of TERA. They are awarded to the top 10 guilds in either PVE or PVP. The guild emblem is placed proudly on the front and the castles are customizable. There're no practical uses of a skycastle for PVE except to act as central location for guildies to lounge around. Not many of our members do that anyways since they're running dungeons or busy questing. For PVP, it is used as a safe haven during Guild vs. Guild battles. When two guilds enter GvG, it becomes open PVP between the two of them and their only protected zone is in their skycastle until one guild wins.
Does your guild have ranks for their members?
-
Yes, we have two. Curious Kitty and Royal Kitty. By default, every member is a Curious Kitty of Kitty Academy and are allowed to invite other members into the guild. This power shouldn't be abused or used to invite random players into the guild for one's own amusement. This priviledge is given so that guild members may freely invite their friends into the guild without hassle.
-
Those with the rank of Royal Kitty gain an additional priviledge to access the guild bank. These members are trusted to handle the guild bank accordingly and justly. In the past, the bank was accessible by every member, but after a few incidents, changes had to be made. Royal Kitties also gain the responsibilities of assiting other guild members with their issues. They are expected to put the attention of other members before their own. If a Royal Kitty is occupied, then they're expected to let the members know that their message was received and that they'll help them as soon as possible.
